Carbon Credit Corp announces receipt of a Contribution Agreement from National Research Council (NRC) Canada

Tuesday, September 4, 2007

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Sept 4/07 / - - Carbon Credit Corp (CCC) announced today that it has received a financial contribution agreement from the National Research Council Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program. The agreement will provide CCC with up to $74,000 in reimbursements for innovative software development activities related to the sourcing, aggregating and monitoring of carbon offset credits in Canada.

Comments company CEO, Shawn Burns, "This is an exciting confirmation of our novel approach to this growing and exciting market aimed at reducing global greenhouse gas emissions."

CCC has contracted T4Bi and 2paths for the detailed implementation of the IMS and will be utilizing open source and standard, scalable web technologies and agile development technologies.

The need for CCC’s Carbon Credit IMS is driven by the emergence of multiple markets, protocols, and standards for the creation and trade of carbon credits, and the large but disaggregated supply of carbon credits from agricultural and forestry industry activities. Companies participating in these markets lack both the tools and the knowledge necessary to maximize the value they can capture from the creation and trade in carbon credit assets.

The need for CCC’s Biofuel IMS is driven by the increased interest in this energy source, and the need for sophisticated engineering and logistical analysis to properly assess the value of diffuse inventories of biomass.
